1) Masjid Negara

Masjid Negara is also the National Mosque and a beautiful masjid.
2) Istana Negara

The National Palace surrounded by green lawns and gardens. Interiors cannot be explored but can be viewed from the outside. Halal Restaurants: Al Rawsha Restaurant, Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant, The Gulai House.
Afternoon: Afternoon to Evening Destinations
1) Independence Square/ Merdeka Square

Here you can see the city hall and other traditional and modern buildings.
2) Petronas Twin Towers

Icon of the city and also the third tallest building. Mosque: As Syakirin Masjid Halal Restaurants: Enjoy an elaborate meal at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
Evening: Evening Destinations and Dining Options
1) Suria KLCC & KLCC Park

Great for shopping and relaxing. Lots of dining options inside the shopping center. There is also an underwater park located beneath KLCC, the Aquaria KLCC. Mosque: As Syakirin Masjid Halal Restaurants: Al Nafourah, Al Rawsha Restaurant, Subway.
Day 2

1) Masjid Jamek

A historic Moorish-style masjid.
2) Kuala Lumpur Railway Station

Built-in 1911, it resembles an Oriental palace.
3) Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

Walk-in public aviaries with more than 5,000 birds from 50 different species. Takes about 2-3 hours. Halal Restaurants: Homst Restaurant, McDonald's, Rawsha Restaurant.

1) Islamic Art Museum

Two large floors with amazing Islamic artwork. Can take about 2 hours.
2) National Museum

Just outside the Lake Gardens gives an insight into the history and culture of Malaysia. Takes about 1-2 hours. Mosques: Masjid Negara Halal Restaurants: Al Rawsha Restaurant, McDonald’s, Mandarin Oriental.

1) Lake Gardens

Beautiful park that spreads over 100 ha. developed around an artificial lake. Spend as much time as you wish.
2) Chinatown & Bukit Bintang

Both the areas are within 10 minutes from each other and great for affordable and vibrant shopping. Mosques: Masjid Jamek, Masjid Negara Halal Restaurants: Santai Restaurant & Café, Lazizhoi, Bread Basket, Shiraj Curry House, etc.
Miscellaneous
• If you have extra time visit the Sunway Lagoon, an exciting theme park in the neighboring city of Subang Jaya. It is about 40 minutes from the city center of Kuala Lumpur.
• Restaurants/ food: Kuala Lumpur offers delicious and authentic Malay food such as Nasi Dagang, Sang Har noodles, Satay, Nasi Kandar, Nasi Lemak, etc.
• Souvenirs: From high-class shopping centers to night markets Kuala Lumpur has lots of shopping opportunities. The best things to buy in the city include brass and silver items, traditional fabrics, wood carvings, and pottery.
• Transportation: The city has good public transportation options including monorails, Komuters and LRT’s, and buses. Taxis and cars are also available in the city.
